Info:

The Doors appear on the popular Saturday afternoon television show 4-3-2-1 Hot And Sweet while in Germany on their 1968 European tour. Although the performance is shot in color by ZDF, the original airing of this episode is broadcast in black and white. Hosted by Suzanne Doucet, The Doors portion of the episode is an outdoor presentation of Hello, I Love You shot in Romer Square in Frankfurt in front of The Romer, Frankfurt's City Hall for over 600 years. While performing, Jim Morrison is noticably gazing around at the sites, and scenes of a female dancer are intercut into the footage. This lip sync'ed performance is filmed on September 13th, the day before the band is scheduled to perform two concerts at the Kongresshalle.

Many photographs taken by Michael Montfort exist from this performance as well as Jim Morrison's off-screen tour of the immediate area, including a visit to the Alte Nikolaikirche (Old St. Nicholas Church). A black and white copy of this performance and a small portion of color footage was known to collectors for years, and in 2013 The Doors release the complete and unedited color copy on R-Evolution.
