THE LORDS & THE NEW CREATURES - 1970 ADVERTISEMENTS
Info: On April 7th 1970, publisher Simon & Schuster releases Jim Morrison's first mainstream poetry book 'The Lords & The New Creatures'. This compilation is a blend of Jim's previous private works 'The Lords - Notes On Vision' and 'The New Creatures'. First printed as a hardcover, the book makes a softcover debut in 1971. These original advertisements were printed in various newspaper and magazines to promote the release. In an interview with Salli Stevenson in October 1970, Jim Morrison notes that poetry books don't always do so well on the market, however due to the lack of sales at the time, the original hardcover editions are now hard to come by, selling for hundreds to those collectors who seek them. Modern versions of Jim's original 'The Lords & The New Creatures' are still in print today. For more information and materials please visit our
