Info:
The Doors return to Boss City for a second performance on the May 20th, 1967 broadcast. Beginning May 6th, Boss City's episode length has been increased from one hour to 90 minutes due to its popularity. This appearance was likely filmed no more than a week prior to its original air date. Although there is no confirmation on what was performed on this episode, a remembrance from a TV viewer mentions the long version of Light My Fire. Other artists featured in this broadcast are Gale Garnett, Brenton Woods and the Jefferson Airplane. Interviews with the performing groups are known to have taken place with Sam Riddle and likely followed the performance.
In late 2014 a peculiar photo surfaced which appears to show The Doors in a studio or television environment. While it has not been proven at the present date, it has been heavily speculated that the photo was taken by Jasper Dailey during filming of The Doors second Boss City appearance. A copy of this performance has never been found, and only a few episodes of Boss City have survived as kinescopes. The master footage is reportedly long gone.
