Info:
A one hour television special hosted by disc jockey Bruce Morrow titled Bruce Morrow's Music Power. Shot in color, this program takes viewers out from Bruce Morrow's WABC radio studio to "where it's happening" around the country, and shows the audience live performances from various popular recording artists. The Doors portion of the special is filmed by a two-man crew at the University of Denver on September 29th. The program also features a profile of the Cousin Brucie Dream Car which is owned and created by Pete Vita. Other performers featured in this television special are the Jefferson Airplane at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, the Blues Magoos at New York's Electric Circus, plus The Children of Paradise, Buffy St. Marie, and Stevie Wonder in and around New York City. Sponsors for this program include Bayer Aspirin, Peter Paul Candy Bars, Skippy Peanut Butter, H-O Oats, and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of N.Y.
Although the performance was likely shot in its entirety, the final broadcast features an edit of 6 minutes of uninterrupted performance footage, and The Doors are shown performing two different songs. Master footage reels do not appear to exist and are considered lost. This special is originally broadcast on Channel 7 in New York at 7:30pm, and does not appear to have been re-broadcast at any later date.
