Upon returning to New York on June 11th 1967, The Doors make their second appearance on Clay Cole's Diskotek on June 13th. The group likely performs Light My Fire and the performance is recorded during the day while the group is working nights as the house band at Steve Paul's The Scene. Broadcast on June 24th, Clay Cole's Diskotek has not yet switched from a black and white to color format at the time of this broadcast and does not do so until August 19th. Photographs of The Doors on the Clay Cole show currently only exist for the first performance in March, 1967. Also appearing in this episode are Chad & Jeremy, Richie Havens, The Serendipity Singers, The Pickle Brothers, and Just Rita. Clay Cole resigns in October of 1967, making his last appearances on the show in December with a successful transition to host Peter Martin during the final broadcast.
