Info:
This is the first known nationally printed article about The Doors. Written by Don Paulsen in 1966, this article was not actually published until April 1967 in an issue of Hit Parader magazine. The article features quotes from The Doors taken from November 1966 while the band is performing at the Ondine in New York. The Doors talk about the Whisky A Go Go, signing with Elektra, and the origins of the group's name. Don Paulsen is editor and photographer for Hit Parader magazine at the time, and conducted multiple interviews with The Doors in New York from 1966 to 1968. Don Paulsen is also given a pre-release copy of The Doors first album on tape, and highly recommends it to the readers.
