Reviews / Info:
-This performance is put on by the Western Connecticut State College for their annual 'Wesconn Weekend'.
-This venue is located in the auditorium of the former Danbury High School located at WCSC.
-The new Danbury High School opens in September 1964 on Clapboard Ridge Rd.
-This venue becomes the Ives Concert Hall in 1969, located in the White Hall on the WCSC campus.
-8:15pm scheduled start time.
-Approx. 2,000 in attendance at this 1,200 seat venue.
-A 15-minute intermission is announced following The Newfield Patch Band.
-The audience is warned to stay in their seats or risk being removed from the venue.
-Fall Weekend Princess candidates are introduced during the intermission.
-Actor Tom Baker introduces The Doors onstage at 9:00pm and The Doors play until 10:00pm.
-Jim Morrison beats a microphone stand into the stage floor during the climax of The End.
-This performance features early lyrics from Who Scared You and The Celebration Of The Lizard.
-A recording of this performance is made through the schools microphones set up at the front of the stage.
-This venue is currently known as the Ives Concert Hall located in the White Hall on the WCSU campus.
-Marks and dents left in the stage by Jim Morrison's microphone stand are still present in the Ives Concert Hall stage.


"I was there. I sat in the front row and was showered with wood chips and splinters when Jim broke the microphone stand and started chipping at the floor on the stage. I remember brushing them off my skirt and they also got stuck in my hair. We had to wear skirts in public buildings and schools at the time."
