-This is the only confirmed performance by The Doors at the Kaleidoscope in 1968.
-This venue is previously known as the Hullabaloo and becomes the Aquarius Theater later in 1968.
-Proprietor Gary Essert is a former colleague of Ray Manzarek and Jim Morrison at UCLA.
-This event takes place two weeks after the grand opening of the Kaleidoscope.
-50 employees of KMPX-FM and KPPC have been on strike since March 18th, including disc jockey Tom Donahue.
-San Francisco hosts a series of benefits for KMPX including shows at the Avalon Ballroom and Winterland.

This 16mm film was shot in color at the Kaleidoscope in 1968 by photographer Chuck Boyd during the Superball At The Kaleidoscope event, and does not feature audio. Although relatively dark, the film is steady and easy to watch. Photographs taken by Chuck Boyd also exist from this event.
