Upon returning to New York on June 11th 1967, The Doors film their second appearance for Clay Cole's Diskotek on June 13th. Clay Cole's Diskotek has not yet switched from a black and white to color format at the time of this broadcast and does not do so until August 19th. The Doors likely perform Light My Fire and the performance is recorded during the day while the group is performing nightly at Steve Paul's The Scene. This episode is broadcast on June 24th at 6:00pm on WPIX, and features Chad & Jeremy, Richie Havens, The Serendipity Singers, The Pickle Brothers, and Just Rita along with The Doors. Clay Cole resigns in October of 1967, making his last appearances on the show in December with a successful transition to host Peter Martin during the final broadcast. While photographs exist for The Doors earlier appearance on the show in March, no photographs or surviving copies of this episode are known to exist.
