Info:

The Doors are filmed for the Hy Lit Show, one of Philadelphia's top rated teen television shows, and named for its host, the local disc jockey Hyman 'Hy' Aaron Lit, during what appears to be the band's early August 1968 appearance in Philadelphia for a concert. Shot in color at WKBS Studios in Philadelphia, Hy Lit Show is a one hour weekly variety program featuring various musicians, orchestras, comedians and dancers, and is broadcast locally on Saturdays on WKBS-TV (UHF Channel 48) in Philadelphia, with syndications in other parts of the U.S., including San Francisco and Boston. Reruns of the latest episodes air the following morning and again at later dates. The first airing of The Doors performance appears to have been August. 31st, 1968.

The nature of the performance is unknown with no copies of an episode featuring The Doors having surfaced at the present date. Surviving episodes of the show indicate that artists had both lip synced and performed live. Along with other regulars, a dancer known as Sheri Lane is a feature on each episode, and local teenagers also gather to dance to the music. Due to the popularity of Light My Fire throughout the band's career, it is highly likely that this song was performed along with Hello, I Love You, in having reached #1 in the U.S. on August 3rd, 1968, just one day before The Doors concert in Philadelphia. An earlier July broadcast, with an alternate guest list, indicates that the band is featured on the show preceding the August 4th appearance in Philadelphia, in which the group may have appeared by way of the The Unknown Soldier promotional film.
